📌 Performance Task Overview & Instructions

Welcome, Senior High School Learners! As part of your major requirements in Media and Information Literacy (MIL), you are expected to construct a comprehensive Online Portfolio. This task will showcase your mastery of digital literacy, web design, photography, videography, and multimedia content creation.

You may use any of the following platforms to build your website:

  • Google Sites
  • Canva Websites
  • WordPress
  • Jimdo Creator

💯 Point Distribution (150 Total Points)

  • • Portfolio Components (100 pts): 10 Content Modules @ 20 pts each (6 active + 4 to be added).
  • • Overall Portfolio Rubric (50 pts): Web design, navigation, technical execution, and media integration.

1. Homepage

20 pts

Welcoming page introducing the website title, portfolio purpose, navigation menu, and visual identity.

2. About Me Page

20 pts

Brief learner profile, advocacy/interests, academic goals, and professional profile photo.

3. Hometown Promotional Content

20 pts

A multimedia showcase highlighting the culture, tourist spots, food, or history of your birthplace/hometown.

4. Symposium Poster

20 pts

High-resolution poster designed for your MIL Symposium major requirement with a short description.

5. Photography Challenge: Best of My School

20 pts

Photo gallery showing campus life, demonstrating various camera shots, framing, and camera angles with captions.

6. Videography: A Day in the Life of a SNNHS Student

20 pts

Embedded video vlog demonstrating various camera angles, camera movements, and editing transitions.

📊 Overall Portfolio Evaluation Rubric (50 Points)

This rubric assesses the technical, aesthetic, and structural execution of your website overall.

Criteria Excellent (10 pts) Satisfactory (7-9 pts) Needs Improvement (1-6 pts)
1. Website Design & Aesthetics Highly appealing layout, consistent color scheme, legible fonts, and clear visual hierarchy. Visually clean with minor inconsistencies in styling, alignment, or font sizes. Cluttered, inconsistent colors/fonts, or difficult to read.
2. Navigation & User Experience (UX) Intuitive menu; all pages and links function seamlessly across mobile and desktop devices. Easy to navigate, but 1-2 broken links or slight mobile responsiveness issues exist. Confusing structure, missing links, or unnavigable on mobile screens.
3. Media Integration & Technical Execution Images and videos are embedded seamlessly, load quickly, high quality, and correctly formatted. Media is integrated well, though some images/videos may load slowly or have minor display issues. Media is missing, broken, low resolution, or improperly embedded.
4. MIL Concepts Application Demonstrates deep understanding of camera angles, shot types, media ethics, and design principles. Shows basic understanding of media techniques, with minor errors in technical labeling/captions. Demonstrates little to no application of required camera/media literacy concepts.
5. Organization & Content Mechanics Free of grammatical, spelling, or punctuation errors; well-written captions and descriptions. Contains a few minor grammatical or spelling errors, but content remains clear. Frequent language errors that hinder readability and clarity.
